Summer Activities in Loveland
We love this time of the year in Northern Colorado because there are so many great summer activities to do in Loveland, CO and Ft. Collins.
Whether you’re new to the community or looking to make the move, these Loveland activities and summer outings offer something fun for every family member.
Outdoor Summer Concerts
Our favorite community summer concert series, Sounds of Centerra, returns in July, boasting a diverse lineup of music. Presented by Centerra and UCHealth, these weekly Friday evening performances offer traditional melodies to classic rock to country dancing, offering something for everyone.
Bring your blankets or lawn chairs to find a comfortable spot on the Great Lawn at Chapungu Sculpture Park. You can take the night off from cooking dinner because Chick-fil-A will be onsite offering $5 dinner packages and Rock Bottom is offering concert-night carry out specials. Complimentary popcorn and water will also be served while supplies last. See the full lineup here
Take a Beer-cation
Colorado is known for its craft beer scene, and Loveland is no exception. Come explore Loveland’s local unique flavors by picking up your free Loveland Brewery Passport and explore eight local breweries, each offering something different for your sipping adventure. Once your passport is complete, claim your free shirt or pint glass. Cheers!
Sculpture Gardens
Get your art fix this summer at Loveland’s outdoor sculpture gardens, Chapungu Sculpture Park and Benson Sculpture Garden. Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra embodies a sense of urban naturalism, as it merges culture and nature alongside Northern Colorado’s premier commercial, shopping, dining and residential areas to create a one-of-a-kind cultural and explorative experience. This 26-acre park includes more than 8- African Zimbabwe stone sculptures and serves as the perfect outdoor event venue providing ample space for a wedding, non-profit fundraiser walk or run, corporate picnic, outdoor concerts and more.
Benson Sculpture Garden is another Loveland treasure that draws thousands of visitors from around the globe each year for their annual Sculpture In The Park art show. Currently, there are 154 permanent bronze sculpture pieces on display in the 10-acre park. Take a virtual tour here
Kids Activities
School’s out and kids just wanna have fun! Bring the whole family out to the Main Plaza at The Promenade Shops every Friday till July 28 to enjoy Movies on Main. Pre-show fun starts at 7 pm, and the outdoor movie starts at sunset, around 9 pm. Don’t forget blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a film under the stars.
Additionally, Promenade Kid Days is back for the summer! On select Tuesdays in June, July and August, kids can enjoy a variety of activities and hands-on learning opportunities on the Main Plaza at The Promenade Shops at Centerra from 11am-2pm.
